| Not the published cover -- this is the FIRST VERSION of the book cover, used in all advertising and solicitation. I decided to paint a new cover before it went to the printer. The major difference is that in this version the buildings in the background are less detailed than in the final version. There are also some differences in the color, in various shades and hues. This version is lighter, more airy while the final cover is darker and heavier. Compare to the published book cover to perhaps have a clearer look at the differences. Watercolor and ink on 12"x15" Arches Watercolor paper. Comes with acetate overlay with the title. |
